...but we've finally made it to our final destination. So after leaving our home, we drove to Banff, Alberta, for my friend Laurie's wedding. We met in Ms. Beamish's grade 10 English class, and then went on to go to University together. So, needless to say, we've known each other for a while. The wedding was absolutely beautiful...an outdoor ceremony at an abandoned church site. It was a challenge to cling to the hillside in 3 1/2" heels, but it was worth it. On the Sunday, after we went to check out Laurie and Ed's fantabulous new house, we went to Red Deer until Wednesday, and then drove to Saskatoon, stayed overnight, and left Thursday for my parents' place, in Melville.
Ah...Melville....what can I say about it..hmm...have to think about that for a while, but when I was talking to Laurie at her place on Sunday, and she was getting the lowdown on our vacation plans, she asked,"So, how long are you going to be in the 'Ville?"
"Two weeks."
"Two weeks??!?"
She had nothing else to say. She was laughing too much.
Don't get me wrong, we really had a great time growing up there, but as soon as we graduated, there was no way that we'd stay. It's a
very small town, and it gets a little bit smaller every time I visit.
I brought along O's coral cardi, and the plan is to finish it while we're here. I just have the sleeves left to do, and the bindings around the edges. No pics for a while...it's just O and I here, and D took the camera with him, because he's at his nephew's baptism this weekend.
