Back to our regular programming...

I've been out for a bit over the last week...between my back giving me grief, and the weird, blowing up/taking off sounds that my hard drive is doing, I haven't even thought about writing anything. I didn't know that spines can be twisted. Or ribs could possibly be 'out'. Or, that they can be popped back into place. My heating pad is my friend. And so will be the 160GB hard drive that is due to arrive any day.

The beaded fabric for my Dress arrived the other day. I actually put off opening the box for a bit. It was one of those things, I thought it would be beautiful, because it looked good online, but I didn't get a swatch beforehand. I just plunged it and ordered it. So then, I was worried. What if it wasn't as perfect as I had imagined it in my head. I didn't know what I would do if I opened it up and just went, "Oh. So that's it."

So I put some papers away, and wiped off the top of the stove, swept the floor, and looked at the box on the table. Then I read some junk mail, put away Olivia's drawings from school, and looked at the box. I decided to bite the bullet and finally open it, and I tell you, I don't know if I was happier that it exceeded my expectations, or that I wasn't crushingly disappointed.


I can hardly wait to start working with it.
